The TBS Crossfire Micro starter set has now been discontinued. This page is for information only.

The Team BlackSheep Crossfire Micro Starter Set allows you to upgrade your fleet for one low price  or hold some spares at a great price. The TBS Crossfire Micro Starter Set comes supplied with:

Crossfire Micro TX:

The TBS Crossfire Micro TX borrows the core technology from its larger brother, but is packaged in the small JR-module transmitter form. Simplified to the most sought-after features, at a great price. For pilots looking to do extreme long range flights beyond 15-20km, the TBS Crossfire TX is still the way to go. For anyone looking to penetrate buildings, fly racing drones,  mini quads or just explore your surroundings up to a few kilometers away, the TBS Micro TX is the perfect choice. It will still provide smart-phone connectivity, just like its bigger brother. It will still go out up to 40km. But it costs less than half the price.

Remote control links, however, are tasked with much more than range. Latency, telemetry, robustness against interference, connectivity with smart devices, ease of use and the overall finish are too often sacrificed for that last bit of range. The Crossfire comes with plenty of range, and uses that margin for additional functionality and reliability.

Apart from the unparalelled range, the TBS CrossFire Micro just works so well. Many of the leading drone racing organisers require pilots to fly the TBS Crossfire and a growing number of drone racers fly the TBS Crossfire Micro. Due to the price point many of the furthest long range missions are flown with a TBS Crossfire.

As a modern radio controller link there is built in telemetry as standard, this allows for two-way communications which in turn opens up new possibilities not seen in standard radio controllers. With the TBS Crossfire Micro Receiver V2 & TBS Crossfire Micro you can look at streaming MAVLink to you smart device, updating your firmware, setting your video transmitter channel or adjusting flight control parameters such as PIDs. The adaptive bandwidth controls the speed of transmission or optimizes for ultimate range. CRSF is a proprietary TBS communication protocol between the Crossfire and Radio controller and Flight Control. It provides ultra-low latency with incredible bandwidth (3x faster, 6x more data than any comparable protocol). With such tight integration, the TBS Crossfire Micro Receiver V2 & TBS Crossfire Micro is the logical choice for anyone flying Betaflight, KiSS or ArduPilot / Pixhawk platforms.

  • Dimensions: 65 x 48 x 22 mm (JR module size)

  • Weight: 48g

TBS Crossfire Nano Receiver:

The TBS Crossfire Nano Receiver continues to push the limitations of what is possible for a radio control receiver. The new Crossfire Nano receiver is so small that it weighs in at 0.5g! With smaller more powerful racing quads, the demand for smaller and lighter parts has been answered by TBS. The TBS Crossfire Nano Receiver is a full range receiver at the smallest size of any receiver in the industry (even smaller than the FrSky XM+). Ideal for micro quads or fixed wing aircraft which use an FC accepting SBUS, PPM, PWM input.

  • Weight: 0.5g (receiver only)

  • Size: 11mm x 18mm

  • Requires: Firmware V2.24
