The Lumenier QAV-RXL FPV racing quadcopter 6" airframe kit has an extended frame base plate and top plate to allow for larger lipo batteries. The frame is able to hold a 1800 - 2200mAh battery while still maintaining a good CoG. The QAV-RXL is a finely tuned airframe designed for high performance FPV Drone Racing pilots. The carbon fiber airframe is lightweight and very stiff for the most precise and fastest posible flights. The Lumenier QAV-RXL has a strong carbon fiber bottom plate, thick 2mm top plate and 4mm thick removable arms, giving you the best of both durability and performance. The Lumenier's QAV-RXL brand comprises of a number of highly specialised components for the FPV Drone Racer.
The Lumenier QAV-RXL quad uses a center X bottom arm configuration to hold the arms in place, this was made popular by professional pilots and further refines the center section of the QAV-RXL. The QAV-RXL carbon fiber X bottom arm layout enables an extremely fast arm changeover, this hardware allows a pilot to remove an arm by removing 3 screws from the bottom of the airframe, there is no need to worry about holding nuts or other hardware on the inside of the airframe. One 2mm Allen key tool is all that is needed to completely remove an arm within seconds. The QAV-RXL frame has implemented additional custom features and precision machined aluminum mounting hardware. The QAV-RXL airframe comes with all Aluminum hardware, all screws are supplied in premium black oxide steel. The long aluminum frame spacers are also anodized black and have a textured grip surface, which makes holding of the spacers during assembly and servicing of the airframe a great deal easier. This means that the QAV-RXL has a stiff frame core and eliminates the need for captive nuts that would have to be press fitted into the carbon fiber frame. There is no structural connection made between the arm fasteners and the power distribution board, this avoids lipo battery shorts during severe crashes. All of these features come together to produce the bare QAV-R airframe kit at only 98g (including the PDB, but no other electronics or motors). This is significantly lighter than the other frames and will give a competitive racer the edge.
Included with the Lumenier QAV-RXL FPV racing quadcopter 6" airframe kit is the popular Lumenier 4Power power distribution board, a XT60 pig-tail, and the silicone grommet holding method for the pig-tail, first introduced in the QAV210 Charpu and QAV180. Like the QAV210/180, the QAV-RXL kit enables mounting of small FPV camers in a fully encased assembly which protects the FPV camera during crashes, and enables the pilot to point the FPV camera at a wide variety of angles for optimum speed. The new Lumenier Neoprene Landing Pads are also included, these provide a simple, light-weight and crash-proof landing gear option which also soften the airframe during touch downs.

The QAV-RXL FPV Quadcopter does not exhibit any vibration in the on-board FPV camera signal. For pilots that wish to equip their airframe with a Mobius, GoPro or GoPro Session, Lumenier offers a vibration isolation camera mounting kit (sold separately).
