Description

The Futaba FPV monitor mount fits on to the Futaba T8J and DJI Phantom Radio controllers which allows you to adjust the monitor angle while maintaining the balance of the radio controller when using a neck strap unlike the monitor mounts which clip to the top bars on radio transmitters. The Futaba monitor mount fits perfectly and will hold your monitor and radio securely whilst flying.

Please note that this mount is Silver in colour.

Okay product for my needs.
I Ordered one of these as a temporary measure until I order a Tarot tray. It does what it says on the tin and fits my T10J.

Doesn't come with instructions with is okay if you have a bit of intuition.

I was probably expecting it to hold to much as the black pearl monitor is a bit heavy for it. There is also nothing to stop the monitor twisting on its mount, hence the 3 stars.

so it lost a star for no instructions, and another for a design issue

Not Fit For Purpose
I was a bit sceptical about this little monitor mount from the moment I recieved it.

The cup that fits over the transmitters lanyard fastening doesn't seat correctly because it isn't machined internally to cater for the curved shoulder of the transmitters lanyard fastening, so the insert which is supposed to accomodate a screw (as shown in the image above) doesn't fit because the holes don't align.

This aside neither of the two pivoting joints have any protection against loosening, such as nylock, or sprung washers, and as a result any attempt to adjust the monitor position results in instantly slack joints.

The monitor is held very close, and in front of the T8J's switches, so when the monitor mount colapses, as it did when I tried to use it, it rests limply onto them, hampering your control of your UAV. Fortunately for my experience my UAV hovered in GPS mode while I removed my monitor and placed it at my feet.

Overall I consider that this monitor mount is not fit for purpose. I was unable to find an alternative on the market, so I made one from a strip of GRP plastic; it took about half a hour to make, but it does the job just fine.
