DJI Phantom 4 Pro V2.0
The Phantom 4 Pro V.20 features the new OcuSync HD transmission system, which supports automatic dual-frequency band switching when connected to the DJI Goggles wirelessly. As with the Phantom 4 Pro and Advanced the Phantom 4 Pro V2.0 is also equipped with a 1-inch 20-megapixel sensor able to shoot 4K/60fps video and Burst Mode stills at 14fps. Also it's FlightAutonomy system utilizes two rear vision sensors and infrared sensing systems for a combined total of 5 directions of obstable sensing and 4 directions of obstacle avoidance.
The camera has been re-engineered to house a 1-inch 20-megapixel CMOS sensor. A custom made lens using 8 elements is arranged in seven groups, making it the first DJI camera to use a mechanical shutter, preventing roller shutter distortion which can happen when flying at higher speeds or taking images of fast moving objects. Superior video processing supports H.264 4K videos @ 60fps or H.265 4K @ 30fps both with 100Mbps bitrate. In essence, making it as powerful as many traditional ground cameras. Everything is captured in more detail and image data needed for advanced post-production due to advanced sensors and processors.
An enhanced video processing system enables video to be captured in production and cinema DCI 4K/60 (4096x2160 60fps) at a bitrate of 100Mbps allowing you to achieve high-resolution slow motion shots. A significantly enhanced image quality comes courtesy of the H.265 video codec (Maximum Resolution 4096x2160/30fps). Now record in the high dynamic range D-log mode to get the best of the image data for colour grading.
The resultion of the lens is paramount to the image quality delivered, because only a high quality lens can capture high resoltuion photos for sharp and vivid results. The Phantom 4 Pro V2.0 has an aerial optimized F2.8 wide-angle lens with a 24mm equivalent focal length, arranged to fit into a smaller more compact frame. It's images are detailed with low distortion and low dispersion, ensuring that videos and photos appear sharp and vivid.
Capturing objects and high speeds has always been a challenge for aerial camera's using electronic shutters. This is the reason why the Phantom 4 Pro V2.0 now uses a mechanical shutter and large-aperture prime lens. This mechanical shutter with a maximum speed of 1/2000s prevents rolling shutter distortion. The electronic shutter has also been improved with a maximum shutter speed of 1/1800s with a new Burst Mode capable of shooting 14fps @ 20 megapixels.
A trio of dual vision sensors form a complex six-camera navigation system, working together to calculcate relative speed and distance between the aircraft and surrounding objects. Using the network of forward, rearward and downward vision sensors the Phantom 4 Pro V2.0 is able to hover very precisely even without the use of GPS. Whether this be indoors, on balconies or flying through generally tight spaces can now be achieved with minimal pilot control. In the unlikely event that the forward and downward vision sensors are unable to operate effectively, the rear stereo vision system can still be used to help the aircraft maintain it's position.
The Phantom 4 Pro V2.0 is also capable of flying in highly complex environments at a maximum speed of 31mph (50kph) whilst sensing and avoiding obstacles in it's path. In Narrow Sensing Mode, the Phantom 4 Pro V2.0 narrows it's sensing scope enabling it to see in more detail and fly through tighter spaces.
New improved aerodynamic 9455S propellers and new FOC ESC drivers give increased control and stability. Total aircraft noise has been reduced by 4dB (60%) for quieter, more enjoyable flights.
The Phantom 4 Pro V2.0 has a maximum flight time of 30 minutes providing ever more time in the air to capture your perfect shot. The DJI Go 4 app continues to relay important information to the pilot such as battery life and remaining flight times. Whilst also calculating the maximum safe distance to travel in order for the aircraft to return to home safely with sufficient battery power.
*The Phantom 4 Pro V2.0 is currently only compatible with the DJI Racing Edition Goggles. Compatability with the original DJI Goggles will occur in a future firmware update.*
