The DJI Inspire 1 Pro  is a very easy system to use & fly; almost anyone could pick up the DJI Inspire 1 Pro and learn to use it quickly. The Inspire 1 Pro has landing legs which rise up after take-off to allow for a full 360 degree view from the X5 camera without any obstruction seen on may other systems from landing legs.

One of new features seen on the Inspire 1 Pro is the X5 camera, this is the first compact four thirds camera designed for aerial photography and cineatography. The X5 camera is attached to the Inspire 1 Pro with a 3 axis brushless gimbal, this allows for outstanding video and photos to be captured. The X5 camera will shoot in 4K at 30 fps and still images are 16MP. The X5 camera has a MFT interchangeable lens mount. The camera can be controlled from the ground as if you were holding it in your hands via a wireless controller that allows control over the focus, apature and other features which will deliver the images and footage you need.

The X5 camera has a high dimanic range for shooting in more challenging lighting conditions, with ISO values between 100 - 25600 and 12.8 stops you can take in the details in both the shadows and the highlights. The images from the X5 camera are more detailed and crisp with due to the larger image sensor, the image sensor in the X5 camera is the same size of the one found in the Panasonic GH4 and is 8 times bigger than the DJI X3 cameras found on the Inspire 1. The other features of the X5 camera which helps to deliver the best posible images and video footage comes from the low noise found as the light begins to fade, the X5 camera uses a sophisticated balance of high resolving power and accurate gradation for the best possible results. The Inspire 1 Pro's 3 axis gimbal on which the X5 camera is mounted will automatically stablise the camera while in flight, DJI were the first company to deliver a range of high end brushless gimbals to carry cameras with the best in class stabilisation, this heritage and understanding of camera gimbals means that your images and video footage will be smooth and will have a professional feel to them straight from the camera.

The Inspire 1 Pro uses a second camera mounted under the craft, this is called a Vision Positioning System, this additional camera is used for position holding when low the ground, or when there is no GPS signal inside, the camera tracks the surface below and keeps the Inspire 1 Pro stabilised. The downward facing camera is also used to lower the landing legs when the craft lowers to the ground.

The Lipo battery used in the Inspire 1 Pro has a fully integrated smart battery; the remaining battery power is shown in real time and advanced algorithms calculate the distance of your aircraft from the home point and the estimated time to return home. This new feature allows you to gain the most flight time from your Inspire 1 Pro battery before returning to home. The controller for Inspire 1 Pro is the most sophisticated remote controller to date from DJI. The inspire's remote controller features dedicated buttons for photo and video capture, gimbal control dial, an integrated rechargeable battery and more. The design of the Inspire's remote controller makes it easy and intuitive to use and control the Inspire while in flight. For an even greater level of precision, you can use a second remote controller and fly with a friend or co-worker. With two people controlling the same Inspire 1 Pro, one person pilots the flight path while the other takes control of the X5 camera & gimbal camera control. Each user can have a screen to see exactly what is being shot in real-time. By working in tandem, you will be capturing shots that are more complex and artistic than ever before. The option for a second operator to look after the camera while the pilot conducts the flight allows for the best possible synergy between the systems and operators, the real time video feed is in HD to the ground with the integration of the DJI Lightbridge system. The Lightbridge system allows for operations up to 1500 meters from take-off in optimum conditions.

The DJI Inspire 1 Pro is a ready to fly system, when opening the box you will need to install the propellers, these are the self-tightening propellers, installation is very easy and fast. The use of an iPad App sees the system have all the functions that users look for, such as the one key take-off, home position return, waypoints (waypoints will be released in the near future in firmware update) and telemetry information to keep a keen eye on the battery voltage while in flight.

The Inspire 1 Pro has another additional function which is very useful when you have started your flight and need to move position away from from the take-off position, the radio controller can act as a home point, so if you were to walk away from the take-off zone the Inspire 1 Pro will know where you and the radio is, and will return there instead of the home point which was used with home point lock and return.
