The DJI Innovations section of Build Your Own Drone has the Professional S800 Spreading Wings HexaCopter, Zenmuse Z15 camera gimbals, DJI Phantom Ready To Fly Kit and the three hobby Flame Wheel frame kits, the F550 multi rotor HexaCopter frame kit, the F450 & F330 multi rotor QuadCopter frame kits, these are very strong frames and are very easy to build!
There are also the Almost Ready To Fly (ARTF) F330 QuadCopter kits, F450 QuadCopter kits Flame wheel and the F550 HexaCopter these ARTF kits include all you will need to build, the ESC’s, motors and props needed for the QuadCopter or HexaCopter are included, you can add one of the NAZA M V2 Fllight Controller systems to these kits for FPV & fun flights or the DJI Wookong M for more control with telemetry, autonomous flights and waypoint options.
In addition to the new Flame Wheel frames and ARTF kits we have all the upgrade options for the DJI Wookong M, you can now update your flight system with a number of upgrade options, the first step in the chain of upgrades is the M View Data Radio GCS (Ground Control Station) system which allows real time telemetry, with a single way point included, the second upgrade comes in two formats, either the 5 waypoint or step up to the full 50 waypoint upgrade!
The DJI Wookong WKH, WKH Lite and WKH GPS upgrade are new additions to the store, these are used on scale helicopters, the WKH Lite is a basic flight controller which can be upgraded to the full WKH with DJI GPS unit, for current users of the WKH Lite there is the option to take your flight controller and helicopter to the next level by upgrading to the WKH.
The DJI Innovations NAZA M V2 Flight Controller GPS edition:
DJI Innovations have released their new NAZA M V2 flight controller; this replaces the outstanding DJI Naza M V1, the NAZA M V2 benefits from a number of improvements over the original NAZA V1. To read more on the latest V2 NAZA Flight controller please visit the product page; this is the latest evolution to the NAZA Flight Controller, the ability to perform position hold, RTH (Return to Home), with enhanced fail safe and IOC (Intelligent orientation control) with the NAZA continues to be class leading and is now even better.
Existing NAZA users can easily add the new functions seen on the latest DJI NAZA M V2 to their current NAZA M V1 Flight Controllers by adding the new DJI NAZA V2 PMU unit, with a simple update to the firmware, the V1 Naza will enable the new features seen on the V2 NAZA M. The overall feedback on the new features has been very positive, and the NAZA M has once again closed the gap between the Wookong M functions aimed at the professional user and the delivered them to the hobby flight controller pilot.
New features that have or will be added to the Wookong M WKM in the near future:
As DJI continues to refine the Wookong M WKM flight controller performance and features current and new users will benefit from new Flight Algorithm refinement in the Wookong M WKM, these updates enable position hold in tail and head wind conditions to maintain a smoother flight; this will give improvements in the flight stability over and above the current class leading flight performance already seen. The long awaited PPM is now available for Wookong M WKM providing OctoCopter and X8 users looking at using the non-S-bus systems access to the remote gain adjustments, there will be less cabling for a neat layout when a PPM receiver is preferred over S-Bus.
The Gimbal servo output has increase from 100 Hz to 400 Hz and the servo endpoint to 90° for better gimbal performance. A Hot Spot circling flight feature 5 meters diameter and beyond enhances the Auto Pilot performance and user options. There is now an additional channel to activate RTH via transmitter switch makes recovery a flip of a switch away.
The latest addition to the Wookong M is the DJI Wookong M Bluetooth LED which allows pilots in the field to make changes on the fly with an iPhone, adjusting the flight parameters up to 50 meters away, and can be carried out without the use of a PC, the new Bluetooth units don't support Android at this time, however support is expected in the near future. You will need to use the latest Wookong Firmware 5.22 with the Bluetooth LED to use these functions with an iPhone.
