Features

Atmega328 at 16Mhz with Arduino Bootloader. XBee Socket and 3.3V powered (I've included some holes near to the antenna so you can hold it with a strap). Wireless programing: You can use XBEE to program it (needs 2n2222 transistor available at any electronics store).
Can be powered with 2 and 3 cell LIPOS (diode protected and regulated). There is a large 4 line screen which has a backlight, very clear under the sun! (2 pots to control the backlight and contrast). FTDI port to upload code, also the boards is ready to be programmed with XBee. Six button to navigate and change screen and options. Very noisy buzzer that can be used to alert you when it has low battery or low altitude. 6 I/O analog pins available, including the I2C port. 2 powered SERVO OUTPUTS (Tilt & Pan) that can be used to control a directional antenna (NICE!). Extra 3.3V and 5V volts outputs. Status LED's. The software is ArduPilot compatible and Open Source.

Took an hour to solder, mainly because I checked all soldering and test details in every detail trying to understand how it fitted in the project.

Broken 328 chip November 15, 2011
Reviewer: William Hooper from Tokyo, Tokyo United Kingdom
Hi Martin,

There is something wrong with the 328 supplied with the kit. It won't accept any programs. I confirmed this as I also have a 328 chip in a Sparkfun Arduino starter kit whicvh works fine. Any chance of a replacement chip?
thanks

****** Update****** 15/11/11

There was not a fault with the chip, the chip had been changed to the "UNO" William contacted me to let me know all was well and that the code loaded without issue when the "UNO" was selected. Details have now been up dated on the product information.

Thank you for the information William.

Kind regards

Martin
